NDIS Orders

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines can change over time. It is important that you understand what your NDIS funding can and cannot be used for before placing an order with Somewhere Sensory.


We encourage all customers to check the latest information on the NDIS website or speak with their Plan Manager or the NDIS directly if they are unsure about their funding.


Please note:

• All NDIS orders must be paid before they are shipped.

• Placing an order does not guarantee NDIS approval.

• Somewhere Sensory does not send NDIS orders without payment first.

• We recommend checking with your Plan Manager before placing your order.


Please follow the instructions below based on your type of NDIS funding.


Self Managed

If your NDIS funding is Self Managed, you can shop directly through our website just like any regular online purchase.


Before checking out:


• Please add the participant’s full name and NDIS number in the “Special Notes” section on the cart page

• Complete payment using your preferred payment method


Once your order is placed, you will automatically receive a tax invoice via email including your NDIS details.


Plan Managed

If your NDIS funding is Plan Managed, the participant, parent/carer, or Plan Manager can request a quote before ordering.

Please note:


• Submitting a quote request does not hold stock or confirm your order

• Orders will remain pending until payment is received

• Items will only be shipped once approved and paid in full


How to place a Plan Managed order


1 - Complete and submit our “Request a Quote” form

2 - Forward the quote to your Plan Manager for approval

3 - Your Plan Manager must reply to the quote email to confirm approval or pending approval and this needs to be sent back to Somewhere Sensory.

4 - Somewhere Sensory will then convert the quote into an order and issue a tax invoice

5 - Once payment has been received and processed, your order will be shipped


We strongly recommend checking with your Plan Manager before requesting a quote to ensure your items are eligible for funding.


Agency Managed

Somewhere Sensory is currently unable to process Agency Managed claims directly through the NDIS portal without contacting us prior.

Please contact us directly via email or through our shop for further assistance.

These will be the FORM QUESTIONS we were talking about (for Plan Managed Clients):


1 - Full name of Participant

2 - NDIS #

3 - Shipping Address (where you would like the order delivered)

4 - Item/s requested and their quantities (ie Lycra Body Sock Green Small x 1)

5 - Plan Manager name

6 - Plan Manager email address
